Real Madrid bid £13m for Manchester United’s De Gea

Real Madrid have opened the bidding at £13m for Manchester United keeper David De Gea, according to Daily Mail.

The Spanish international, pictured with Real Madrid keeper Iker Casillas, has been increasingly linked with a move to the Spanish capital to replace his national team-mate.

Talks of a proposed summer move have been frequent in both English and Spanish press with terms over a personal agreement said to have been agreed.

Tension is rising between United officials and the Spanish stopper and it is now understood that the former is ready to hand in a transfer request to force through his move to the Santiago Bernabeu.

United officials did offer the keeper a new and improved deal to remain at Old Trafford but it is understood that the former Atletico Madrid stopper rejected a lucrative offer.

And, that has now led to a slightly cheaper offer from Madrid, who believe he should be allowed to leave at a smaller price of £13m.

That bid is likely to be rejected by United, but reports in Spain claim Madrid are willing to go up to the £25m mark.
