Juventus chief Pavel Nedved has confirmed that Barcelona are interested in signing Paul Pogba.

The former Man United midfielder has been in superb form over the past two seasons, helping the Turin side to a back-to-back Serie A titles.

And, his performances have gained interest from a number of top European sides, including the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona, whilst Juventus have maintained that they would love to keep hold of the French international.

FEN reported two weeks ago that Barcelona’s new sporting director Arieda Braida had begun talks with the Italian club over a possible deal in 2016 and Nedved has now confirmed their interest.

“We know that Barcelona and other great clubs want him, but he has a contract with us,” the Bianconeri board member told El Mundo Deportivo.

Pogba is currently out of action until May with a hamstring injury sustained in the Champions League win at Borussia Dortmund earlier this month and the former winger has called on the rest of the Juve squad to make up for his absence.

“We lose a lot because of his absence,” the Ballon d’Or winner stated. “He has great quality.

“But the rest of the squad know what they have to do to replace him.”
