Real Madrid set to sell former Man United star Ronaldo

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is prepared to sell Cristiano Ronaldo, according to El Confidencial.

All seems not well between Cristiano Ronaldo and Real Madrid as news coming out from the Spanish captial has it that club President, Florentino Perez is entertaining thoughts of selling the current FIFA Ballon D’Or player of the year.

This won’t be the first time Ronaldo has been linked away with a move from Real.

However, since the start of the year, Ronaldo’s form has taken a dip, he’s suffered from disciplinary issues and broke up with his long term girlfriend and Russian super model, Irina Shayk.

His commitment to Los Blancos has also come under question in recent days after he organised a party to mark his 30th birthday, just hours after Real Madrid suffered their worst derby defeat in years last Saturday.

Also putting his age into consideration and the fact that he’ll be entering into the final year of his contract this summer, the club know they wouldn’t get another good opportunity and a better offer after it.

Therefore, clubs like Manchester City, Chelsea, Manchester United and PSG who can afford to cough up Real’s asking price have been alerted to his potential sale. Although, it’s widely believed he’ll favour a move back to Manchester United should he move.
