Mourinho happy to see Hazard extend deal

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has insisted that there is still more to come from star man Eden Hazard and that he is delighted after seeing the midfielder sign a new contract with the club.

The 24-year-old put an end to speculation linking him with a move away from Stamford Bridge by signing a new and improved contract extension on Thursday afternoon.

And, his boss Mourinho has spoken of the Belgian international’s impressive form and rise at the club, saying he could go on to become the best player in the world.

“I am very happy that Eden has signed a new contract,” Mourinho told the Premier League leaders’ official website. “It shows he believes in the club’s coaching staff and players to help him become the best player in the world.

“He is already a top player and his evolution has been fantastic. He is still very young and he can become the best.”

Hazard joined Chelsea from Lille in 2012 and has scored 13 times this season.
