Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has calmed fears that he could be on the sidelines with injury by telling his Twitter followers that he is ‘ok’.
The Argentina international netted twice, but was substituted with a back injury during City’s 4-1 win over Stoke City at the Britannia stadium on Wednesday evening.
Concerns about Aguero’s fitness then followed, however, boss Manuel Pellegrini attempted to calm worries in his post-match press conference, by saying the players was taken off just as a precaution.
And, the former Atletico Madrid striker has followed suit on social media site Twitter.
“For the ones asking I’m ok,” Aguero tweeted. “I stepped out only for precaution. Now let’s keep on working for the very important upcoming commitments.”
Aguero’s brace was the first time that he found the back of the net in six games.
