Arsenal have become buoyed in their pursuit of PSV defender Santiago Arias after he admitted he would be open to a move to the Premier League.
The 23-year-old was linked with a January move to Arsenal but failed to see a transfer materialise, however, transfer talk has not left his side after some impressive performances in the Dutch league this season.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger remains keen on improving all areas of his defence and would like Arias to arrive and provide competition at right back.
Arias who plays for Colombia has spoken out about his future in a recent interview with De Telegraaf and said that he would be happy to move to England.
‘I’m certainly at a great club and I’m very happy,’ Arias said.
‘I hope to play here for a long time, though I am certainly open to the possibility that might arise in the future to play in England, for example, or Germany.’
