West Ham ready bid for Man United striker

West Ham United are readying a summer bid for Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez, according to Spanish daily AS.

Mexican striker Hernandez called time on his career at Old Trafford last summer, securing a loan move to Spanish giants Real Madrid.

However, his time in the Spanish capital has failed to see him gain sufficient playing time and he is now talking with his representatives about securing a move elsewhere in June.

Hernandez is keen to secure a promised starting role for next season and would seemingly be interested to move to a smaller club in order to do so.

Tottenham Hotspur, Real Sociedad and now, West Ham United have all shown interest of late, whilst Atletico Madrid had been interested, before signing Fernando Torres on a two-year loan deal in January.

AS claim that West Ham will make a summer bid to Man United and are confident in luring the Mexico international to London.
