Aguero brace keeps Man City in touch with Chelsea

Sergio Aguero was in inspired form as he helped Manchester City to a 4-1 win over Stoke City at the Britannia stadium.

The visitors had the best chance of the opening minutes through Spanish midfielder David Silva, who attempted to find Aguero inside the box, but the Argentine striker was unable to force Asmir Begovic into a save.

Mark Hughes’ side responded well and had a good chance from Victor Moses, but the Nigeria international found Joe Hart in good form.

Peter Crouch would then have a goal chalked off for offside after some fine work from Moses.

City would then take the lead as Aguero took matters into his own hands and beat Begovic with a low strike into the bottom corner.

However, the home side got themselves back into the game as Crouch headed in a cross from Marko Arnautovic.

Just before the break, City had a goal of their own chalked off of their own as Aguero guided the ball into the back of the net with the aid of his hand.

James Milner would put the reigning Premier League champions back in the lead though after good work from Samir Nasri.

City would then ease to all three points and cemented their win with a penalty from Aguero late on after Silva had been fouled by Geoff Cameron and Nasri would also add one for himself to make it 4-1.
