Man United midfielder slams ‘unfair’ media treatment

Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini has said that he was unfairly treated by the media during David Moyes reign at Old Trafford.

The Scottish boss signed the Belgian international as they both departed from Everton to United in 2013 but a poor first season for both saw the midfielder heavily criticised for not living up to his £27m transfer fee.

Moyes was then axed and is now in charge of Real Sociedad in La Liga, whilst Fellaini is battling for his place in the United side under Louis van Gaal.

And, the midfielder has opened up about his feelings at the time of Moyes’ reign.

In an interview with Goal.com, Fellaini said: “It was worse for me because I was the first signing for David Moyes, so I received all the criticism.

“I had no chance. Everything was being put on me. It was a bad experience but also a good experience because now I know what the journalists see.”
