Inter Milan will not take up their option to permanently sign Lukas Podolski from Arsenal after the German failed to impress.
According to Tuttosport, Inter boss Roberto Mancini has been disappointed with the impact made by the German World Cup winner and is now looking closely at Paris Saint Germain forward Ezequiel Lavezzi.
Argentine Lavezzi is fully expected to leave Paris this summer after failing to break into Laurent Blanc’s starting eleven this season.
Podolski’s return to Arsenal is now likely but it is understood that officials from the English club will now offer him to a number of Bundesliga sides ahead of a permanent summer exit.
The 29-year-old forward is valued at around £12m by the Gunners and has attracted interest from former club Koln.
