Manchester United have made contact with Paris Saint Germain over the summer signing of Marquinhos, according to RMC.
Having made just 18 appearances for the Parisien side this season, Brazilian defender Marquinhos was strongly linked with a January exit but failed to gain a move to interested clubs, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United.
The youngster is keen to move on from French football and find a regular starting place and that has led the latter to show interest ahead of a potential summer move.
Reports earlier in December of last year, claimed that United had been quoted £112m for the former Roma defender, but boss Louis van Gaal is confident he can sign the centre-back for less.
Marquinhos joined PSG in 2013 on a five-year deal for £24m.
