Lassana Diarra is looking likely to return to the Premier League after reportedly training with West Ham United.
The 29 year-old former Pompey midfielder looks close to signing a deal with the Hammers subsequent to his release from the Russian outfit Lokomotiv Moscow last summer after an alleged fall-out with manager Leonid Kuchuk.
However, it is unlikely the midfielder will be available for Allardyce’s team on Wednesday night or Saturday where they face West Bromwich Albion, due to a severe lack of match-fitness.
The addition of Diarra to West Ham’s squad will undoubtedly strengthen them for the remainder of the season as they aim to finish in a European qualification position, given his previous experiences at teams such as Real Madrid, Arsenal and Chelsea.
