West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino is confident that the club’s fans would not mind him move to a bigger club in the future.
The Burundi-born English international has been in superb form this season, having scored 14 goals in all competitions and he has gained interest from a number of top Premier League clubs, with Liverpool maintaining their interest right up until the final day of the January transfer window.
Arsenal and Manchester United have also shown interest with the latter having made inquiries to Tony Pulis’ side in recent weeks.
Whilst no move materialized for the youngster, he has spoken of his aims to move on ‘to bigger things’ in the future.
“I’ve got to stay focused on what I’m doing right now, which is scoring the goals and keeping West Brom in the Premier League,” Berahino told Sky Sports News .
“If I can keep them in the Premier League and score as many goals as I can, I’m pretty sure the fans wouldn’t mind me pushing on and going on to bigger things.”
West Brom sit 15th the Premier League, three points above the relegation zone.
