Arsenal and Man United target wants to quit Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund attacking midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan wants to quit the club, according to his agent, prompting the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United to be on alert.

The 26-year-old joined the Bundesliga giants from Shakhtar Donetsk in July 2013 and firmly established himself as an important member of Jurgen Klopp’s starting eleven.

However, Dortmund have struggled this season and currently sit bottom of the German league and the Armenia international is now said to be unhappy with the situation at Signal Iduna Park.

Linked with a number of clubs in the January transfer window, his agent Mino Raiola has put those interested on alert by confirming his clients wishes to leave Dortmund.

“Henrikh wants to leave Dortmund at the end of the season,” Raiola was quoted as saying by Bild.

“We will have to wait and see what we can do.”

Mkhitaryan has a contract with Dortmund until June 2017, but the Bundesliga outfit are willing to sell and recoup the £20.6m they paid Shakhtar for his services two years ago.
