Arsenal are preparing a shock swoop for Tottenham Hotspur keeper Hugo Lloris, according to L’Equipe.
Lloris has firmly established himself as one of the most consistent keepers in European football, despite Spurs suffering both in the Premier League and Europa League in recent seasons.
The Frenchman has been strongly linked with a move away from White Hart Lane in recent season, having gained interest from the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus, whilst Paris Saint Germain have also been interested.
However, fresh reports have now claimed that bitter rivals Arsenal could be ready to launch a £25m bid next summer for the French international.
Lloris is high on Arsene Wenger’s wishlist as he looks to replace Wolciech Szczesny, who has lost his guaranteed starting place this season at the Emirates stadium.
Lloris is believed to be craving Champions League football and would seemingly welcome the move across North London.
