Liverpool are closing in the £14m signing of Paris Saint Germain forward Ezequeil Lavezzi, according to Daily Express.
The Argentine forward has scored just two goals in 15 games for PSG this season, with only eight appearances coming as a starter.
The 29-year-old is rumoured to be unhappy with the French champions after failing to force his way past the likes of Edinson Cavani, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Lucas Moura.
Liverpool have long been interested in the former Napoli man and a reported move could now be completed by the final day of the transfer window.
Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has struggled for attacking options this season, having failed to see the best of Daniel Sturridge, Rickie Lambert and Mario Balotelli.
