Everton are in talks to sign ex-AC Milan striker Alexandre Pato, according to the Daily Star.
The Toffees confirmed the departure of Samuel Eto’o to Italian Serie A side Sampdoria, and are subsequently looking to find a replacement.
The 25-year-old was regarded as one of the talented strikers during his time at AC Milan, however his career has somewhat nosedived and he currently plies his trade for Corinthians.
Pato is currently on loan at Sao Paulo which will ultimately make any deal significantly harder to complete.
Pato has made 27 appearances for the Brazil national team, and has accumulated 10 goals for the team.
Roberto Martinez’s Everton side currently sit in 12th position in the Barclays Premier League, having accumulated 23 points from 22 league games.
The Toffees have only managed to win one game in their previous ten Barclays Premier League matches, that one win coming against Queens Park Rangers at Goodison Park.
