Result: Stoke City ease to victory in the FA Cup

Stoke City have progressed to the fifth round of the FA Cup by beating League One side Rochdale 4-1 this evening.

The Premier League started the game in lively style as former Barcelona winger Bojan Krkic found the back of the net through a delicious volley which beat Josh Lillis.

Bojan, who has been arguably Stoke’s best performer this season was taken off shortly after due to a knock which he suffered on his knee.

However, his absence did not stop Mark Hughes’ men from doubling their advantage as Stephen Ireland slotted home a cross from Victor Moses into the bottom corner.

Moses was looking lively and he got himself on the score sheet moments later when he weaved his way into the box, before firing an effort over Lillis.

Jonathan Walters wrapped up the win late on to set up a tie with Blackburn Rovers, after Bennett has restored some parity for the home side.
