Chelsea agree £23m Cuadrado fee

Chelsea are set to sign Juan Cuadrado from Fiorentina after a bid of £23m was accepted for the Colombian.

The Blues have been in heavy discussion with Cuadrado since the turn of the week, despite Jose Mourinho’s earlier denial of interest.

Reports in Italy and England then surfaced that the winger’s agent had flown to London to thrash out contract talks, ahead of a potential move and that now looks being made a reality after the Florence outfit accepted a figure of £23m.

The Colombian winger has been in typically brilliant form once again this season, fresh off the back of a good World Cup campaign, which saw him perform well for his country.

Cuadrado has long been attracting the interest of top European club’s such as Manchester United, Real Madrid and Barcelona, but a move failed to materialise in the summer.
