Mourinho knows nothing of Cuadrado interest

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho claims he knows very little about interest in Fiorentina’s Juan Cuadrado.

The Colombian winger has been in typically brilliant form once again this season, fresh off the back of a good World Cup campaign, which saw him perform well for his country.

Cuadrado has long been attracting the interest of top European club’s such as Manchester United, Real Madrid and Barcelona, but a move failed to materialise in the summer.

However, it was reported earlier this week that Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho was considering a January bid which is likely to be £26.8m, which will trigger Cuadrado’s release clause.

Fiorentina are likely to put off any advances for the Colombian, but should Chelsea pay that amount, then the move will be solely down to the winger himself, who has talked up playing for one Europe’s biggest clubs in the past.

And, further reports claimed that the winger was in attendance at Anfield last night.

Asked by the press about Cuadrado’s presence following his side’s 1-1 League Cup draw with Liverpool on Tuesday, Mourinho replied: “He was here?”, insisting that he had “no idea” about the interest.
