Lazio ready to save Liverpool striker’s season

Italian side Lazio are ready to make a January move for Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli.

Reports in Italian media, cited from Sport Mediaset, claim that the Italian capital side are ready to make a six month loan move and save the Italian striker from his dreadful season with Liverpool.

The 24-year-old arrived at Anfield last summer but has endured a difficult time at the club, scoring just two goals and failing to live up to that of former striker Luis Suarez, who departed for Barcelona.

Balotelli is keen to move on from Merseyside but interest has been few and far between, however, Lazio are keen to sign the former AC Milan man.

Should Balotelli leave, Brendan Rodgers will have just two strikers available in Rickie Lambert and Fabio Borini, whilst Daniel Sturridge continues to regain his fitness.
