West Ham United defender Winston Reid is waiting for Arsenal to make a move, according to a source close to the New Zealand international.
The central defender has been strongly linked with a move to Arsenal as Gunners boss Arsene Wenger continues his search for extra defensive cover.
Reid has been long in talks with West Ham over a new contract as his current deal is due to expire at the end of the season.
Reports in English press have claimed that the central defender is reluctant to sign a new deal at Upton Park, while boss Sam Allardyce refused to play him against Hull City last weekend due to a ‘lack of concentration’.
And, a source close to the £8m rated defender claims that Reid is now fully focused on a move to the Emirates stadium.
“Winston is preparing himself to move across London, but he is still waiting for the call. Arsenal are unsure of the transfer fee, which is causing problems.
“However, he is willing to wait six months in order to play for the Gunners, if need be.”
