Valencia are in talks with Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher, according to Spanish daily AS.
The 30-year-old midfielder will see his time at Old Trafford come to an end in June when his current contract expires and is now a surprise target for Valencia, who are keen to make a cut-price move in January.
AS claim that Fletcher is in heavy discussion with Los Che officials over their future plans and his role in the team, should he join.
The midfielder has seen his time at United come to a stuttering end with his place in the midfield lost to the likes of Daley Blind and Angel di Maria.
The Scotland captain has made 223 appearances since turning professional in 2001 before chronic bowel disease saw his career halted four years ago.
