£175m quartet score just three times in five Man United matches

Robin van Persie, Radamel Falcao, Angel di Maria and Wayne Rooney have scored just three goals in 450 minutes of football for Manchester United.

The talented quartet have failed to gel this season at Old Trafford, giving boss Louis van Gaal a problem in terms of goalscoring, which has seen the likes of James Wilson be given a chance early in his young career.

Dutchman Robin van Persie (£29.04m) has struggled this season, scoring just eight goals in his 20 appearances and just once in his last five games with his last goal coming against Newcastle United on Boxing Day.

Angel di Maria (£57.2m) can be less criticised after Van Gaal has used the Argentine playmaker in a variety of roles, having played in the FA Cup win over Yeovil in which he scored.

Much talked about Radamel Falcao (£48.4m) grabbed the third and final goal that the quartet have scored in five games, netting against Stoke City.

Wayne Rooney (£39.6m) has failed to score in his last five games.
