Falcao valuation is more than Man United’s £44m buying option

Manchester United’s £44m buying option on Radamel Falcao is four-million pounds cheaper than his current valuation.

The Colombian striker may not be bagging the goals for United at present but transfer market database website, Transfermarkt, have the former Atletico Madrid striker valued at £48.5m, a £10m rise from his time at Monaco.

Falcao, who joined United in the summer on an initial loan move has been in and out of the United side, having been dropped for the 1-0 home defeat to Southampton last week but included in the 2-0 win over Queens Park Rangers on Sunday.

His proposed permanent move to Old Trafford is still being debated with boss Louis van Gaal claiming it will depend on how many goals he scores this season.

A £44m deal has been penned, which is £4.5m cheaper than his current valuation.
