Liverpool to gain from Real Madrid’s Cavani interest

Liverpool could be offered Karim Benzema if Real Madrid make serious their interest in Paris Saint Germain striker Edinson Cavani.

The French striker has been under slight criticism this season and towards the back end of Madrid’s Champions League winning campaign in 2013/2014, having scored just one goal in his last 10 games.

Benzema is now likely to be sold by Madrid in the summer, ending his five year spell with the Spanish giants.

Liverpool are the French international’s biggest admirers and it is being reported in both Spanish and English press that Madrid will offer the striker to Brendan Rodgers for a fee of £40m.

Madrid then plan to use those funds on making a move for Edinson Cavani, who despite being in good form for French side PSG; has cited a desire to leave the club.
