Miralles to reject Spurs for Champions League football

Everton winger Kevin Miralles wants to leave the club for Champions League football and will reject a move to Tottenham Hotspur, according to Het Laatste Nieuws.

The Belgian international has been in superb form of late and has gained interest from a number of European clubs, including Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund and Spanish champions Atletico Madrid.

Both are still in the hunt for Champions League glory this season and it is now reported that Miralles is keen to make a late January move to either of the aforementioned.

Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur were said to be interested and preparing a swap deal for Aaron Lennon, but this latest report citing Miralles’s desire to play in the Champions League is likely to have put them off.

Everton boss Roberto Martinez is seemingly reluctant to sell his current top performer but could use the funds on a number of squad improvements.
