Tottenham Hotspur are closing in on the signing of Marseille winger Andre Ayew, according to Le 10 Sport.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is keen to improve his attacking options ahead of a fourth place finish in the Premier League and has indicated Ghana international Ayew as the perfect man to do so.
The winger, who can play in a forward role, is out of contract in the summer and is now free to discuss terms with clubs.
However, it is understood that rather than wait until the summer, Spurs are keen to bring him to White Hart Lane in January.
A small bid has been offered to Marcelo Bielsa’s side, of which it is expected that they will accept, rather than lose the talented forward for nothing in June.
The 25-year-old former African Footballer of the Year has scored four goals and created three in 17 games for the Ligue 1 side this season.
