Chelsea are struggling to agree a fee for Andrej Kramaric after his club, Rijeka, demanding a larger transfer fee.

Chelsea’s interest in the talented youngster has been present since last summer and it was heavily reported last week that a transfer fee of £8m had been agreed between Jose Mourinho’s side and the Croatian club.

However, Rijeka have since upped their asking price for the striker after it emerged that Dinamo Zagreb would gain most of any money earned in the sale due to a sell-on clause installed in his sale in 2013.

Rijeka are keen to hold out for more money and that has been made more possible with interest from another Premier League club – Leicester City, who seem keen to pay a substantial amount of cash.

The striker is keen to move to Stamford Bridge but is aware of Leicester’s interest.

Rijeka sporting director Ivan Mance recently discussed to reporters that any such move was under consideration: “It is a tough decision and not only about money but also about a great talent’s career. What is happening now is usual in the world of football.”
