Lukas Podolski has thanked Arsenal fans for their support as he prepares to move to Inter Milan.
The Gunners forward is set to join the Italian giants in the coming days after flying into Milan to agree terms on Friday evening.
The move will end a frustrating year final year for the winger at Arsenal, having struggled to force his way into Arsene Wenger’s starting eleven, despite winning the World Cup with Germany in the summer of 2014.
Podolski has made just 13 appearances in all competitions for the north Londoners this season, making no starts in the Premier League.
And, the former Bayern Munich man has expressed his thanks towards the club’s supporters.
“I can’t express in words my gratitude towards Arsenal fans for all they have done for me in my years in London,” he wrote on Instagram.
“Please know my heart always holds a place for you. I hope I have left my mark on the club & fans alike. Hopefully we shall meet again! COYG.”
