Roberto Carlos claims Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo is a more decisive player than Barcelona ace Lionel Messi.

Ronaldo and Messi are once again favourites for the Ballon d’Or award, being nominated alongside German World Cup winning keeper Manuel Neuer.

And, 41-year-old Carlos has joined in on the debate on who is better out of Ronaldo and Messi, saying that the former is a more decisive player.

“Cristiano Ronaldo remains the best in the world, and Messi is doing what others have failed to,” Roberto Carlos said to Onda Cero. “He is breaking records, but Cristiano is more decisive than him.”

Carlos then briefly commented on the Club World Cup which will see Real Madrid face San Lorenzo in the final on Saturday and he said that the importance of the fixture for the Argentine club is high.

“For the South Americans this title has the same importance as the Champions League. Madrid is the best team in the world.”
