Ian Wright calls for Arsenal sacking after Fabregas snub

Arsenal legend Ian Wright believes the decision to turn down Cesc Fabregas this summer should see someone sacked at the club.

The Gunners had first option on Fabregas but allowed him to move back to England and join rivals Chelsea, rather than return to Emirates after a spell with boyhood club Barcelona.

Fabregas has since become one of the most in-form players in Europe, having created 14 goals in 21 appearances for Jose Mourinho’s side.

Arsenal, meanwhile, have struggled to find consistency and have relied heavily on the form of another former Barca man – Alexis Sanchez.

Ian Wright, who scored 175 goals during his Arsenal career has taken to Twitter to voice his opinion on the Fabregas snub.

He tweeted on Thursday afternoon: “For the record the mere fact that Fabregas is at Chelsea when we had first option, don’t care who but someone should be sacked.”
