Chelsea forward rules out Marco Reus swap deal

Chelsea midfielder Andre Schurrle has strongly dismissed speculation linking him as part of a potential swap deal with Borussia Dortmund’s Marco Reus, by saying he is ‘happy’ at the club.

The 24-year-old scored in Chelsea’s win over Sporting Lisbon on Wednesday evening and is in good form, despite failing to hold down a regular starting place under boss Jose Mourinho this season.

Reports that the German international may be included in a deal that would see Dortmund’s Reus move to London have been heard in recent weeks, but the former Bayer Leverkusen man insists that he is happy at Stamford Bridge.

“Of course I can just laugh all the talk of leaving off. I am not going to change the club in the transfer window,” the told the London Evening Standard.

“I am happy where I am, I am happy in London. I love the city, I love the fans. We have a great team and want to win something this season. This is where I belong and where I want to help. I know what the manager wants for me and that he likes me.”
