Brazilian could lead Milan exodus

AC Milan could sell Brazilian playmaker Kaka this summer, according to reports in the Italian media.

TuttoSport claims the 32-year-old’s future at the San Siro is a major talking point heading into the transfer window and he is by no means certain to remain at the club.

He could become one of many victims of Milan’s planned overhaul of a much-maligned squad following a bitterly disappointing 2013-14 campaign.

A turbulent season saw them sack head coaches Massimiliano Allegri and Clarence Seedorf, with the Dutchman given only four months at the helm before being replaced by youth coach Filippo Inzaghi.

They ended the term in eighth position in the Serie A table and failed to make a lasting impression in the Champions League.

Kaka was virtually an ever-present in the side, making 36 appearances, but he often came in for criticism after failing to recapture the sparkling form he produced in his first stint at the club before joining Real Madrid in 2009.

He still got his name on the scoresheet on nine occasions last season but did not do enough to earn a place in the Brazil squad for this summer’s World Cup campaign in his homeland.

According to TuttoSport, Kaka’s departure would lead to Milan bidding for Monarcas Morelia winger Jefferson Montero.
