Juventus are ready to renew their interest in Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku, according to fresh reports in the Italian media.

Just days after the Serie A champions considered moving on to other targets, TuttoSport claims Juve are now convinced the Belgium international wants to leave Stamford Bridge and could test the Blues’ resolve with an offer.

Football Express News understands the Turin giants face stiff competition from Tottenham Hotspur, with a source close to White Hart Lane informing FEN the north London club submitted a bid on Sunday night.

If Chelsea do decide to cash in on the 21-year-old they are likely to hold out for more money than Juve’s valuation, with TuttoSport revealing the Italian club’s hierarchy are unwilling to exceed £14million.

The west London outfit could stand their ground and await an offer of at least £20m.

Lukaku scored 18 goals in 35 appearances during a loan spell at Everton last season, further improving his reputation in the European game.

He is part of the Belgium squad involved in this summer’s World Cup in Brazil and Chelsea are fully aware that an impressive tournament on football’s biggest stage will give them the freedom to demand even more money for his services during the transfer window.
