Andy Carroll expects West Ham title charge

Andy Carroll insists West Ham can mount a serious title challenge this season after beating Swansea City on Sunday.

The Hammers sit fourth place in the Premier League table after an impressive start to the season, a start which was further enhanced after beating Gary Monk’s Swansea 3-1 at Upton Park on Sunday afternoon.

Returning Carroll scored two against the Swans to help the Hammers go within nine points of leaders Chelsea and the former Newcastle United and Liverpool striker believes his side can mount a genuine title challenge.

“I think there is no limit, we can go all the way to the top,” the 25-year-old told reporters.

“We have a great squad and I can’t say we are going to give up, now we are in the top four. We have got a great team and we can go all the way.

“I think with the team we have got and the manager [Sam Allardyce], the way he is playing and coaching everyone, it is fantastic and I don’t think we will be giving up at all.”
