Sergio Aguero has sensationally revealed that he will try and convince Lionel Messi to ditch Barcelona and join Manchester City.
The Barcelona forward has been linked with a move away from the Camp Nou in recent weeks after he claimed in Argentine press that he did not know what the future had in store for him, sparking various reports across Spanish and English media.
Aguero, who is very close friends with Messi and plays alongside the four-time Ballon d’Or winner, has said that he will do all he can to get the famous number 10 to join City.
“It’s a tough ask. I’ll try and convince him,” he said after winning the Football Supporters’ Federation Player of the Year award.
“You want the best players to be playing in the Premier League. I’ll certainly try and convince him.”
