Real Madrid cancel transfer plans for Reus

Real Madrid have informed Borussia Dortmund that they are no longer interested in signing Marco Reus.

The German international has been ruled out with another injury problem recently which is likely to see him unavailable until the end of January.

However, his latest setback has not stopped a number of potential suitors from showing interest.

Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City have all been linked, whilst La Liga pair Barcelona and Real Madrid have also been interested.

But, the latter will now not be making a move for the talented winger.

Madrid claim that they are looking at ‘other’ transfer prospects and will allow the aforementioned to freely battle it out for Reus’ signature.

Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea have been strongly linked with a potential swap deal involving Andre Schurrle tipped.
