Roma have reached an agreement with Premier League side Tottenham defender Vlad Chiriches in principle.
The 25-year-old Romanian defender has struggled to hold down a regular first team place at White Hart Lane and has lost out even more so under new boss Mauricio Pochettino.
Sky Sport Italia report that Chiriches has agreed a move to the Italian capital and will join Roma in January should Spurs be happy with the deal.
Roma director Walter Sabatini will travel to London in the coming weeks to agree a fee with the North London side.
Chiriches has only made three appearances for Tottenham this season.
