Pro Player Development has joined forces with Stoke-on-Trent College to help develop potential stars of the future, both on and off the field.

PPD is a soccer academy based near Stone and they will seek to deliver a 36-week Scholarship Programme to promising young players.

Over 25 young footballers will be enrolled on the course each year and take part in a bespoke Level 3 BTEC National Diploma in Sport Performance, learning fitness and coaching, whilst playing at the Pro Player facility in Yarnfield.

Pete Gregory, from Pro Player Development, told Staffslive: “Pro Player Development is designed to go above and beyond the football pitch, helping young players achieve successes which they may feel were not possible.

“This new partnership with Stoke-on-Trent College further supports our ethos of giving these young players the chance to really enhance their knowledge of sports and the key sciences behind performance.”

Pro Player have a growing reputation and have been extremely successful in recent times, seeing Hakeem Sulleman, from Etruria, join Port Vale along with Elliot Darlington, Charlie Woodford and Luke Dennis.

Football Express News will be following PPD over the season and bringing you all the latest information.
