Sergio Aguero’s hat-trick saw Manchester City seal a dramatic 3-2 win over Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

Aguero’s first half penalty gave the home side the lead as they desperately searched for a result which could help them qualify for the knockout stages of the competition.

Mehdi Benatia was sent off in the lead up to the spot kick, however, Bayern took the goal as a remainder of the game and they levelled through Xabi Alonso, who scored a superb free-kick.

Five minutes later and Robert Lewandowski would net for the German side and give them a lead.

Frank Lampard was continuing to roll back the years in the City midfield and he played a huge part in the dramatic turn around in the result.

First, the former Chelsea man tested Manuel Neuer, before he played in Aguero, who latched on to Alonso’s mistake and finished well to level the game with five minutes to go.

And, then, the Argentine sent the home crowd into raptures with a last minute winner, which could play a massive part in their hopes of qualifying for the next round.
