Guardiola ‘happy’ to see Messi remain at Barcelona

Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola has said it would make him ‘happy’ if Leo Messi remained at Barcelona for the remainder of his career.

In a recent press conference Pep Guardiola said he wishes not to see Lionel Messi leave FC Barcelona after speculation last week that the Argentine could leave the Catalan club.

Guardiola took the chance to talk about Messi at the Etihad stadium where his team, FC Bayern Munich will take on Manchester city in the Champions league, but first of all took the time to congratulate him for beating the record of highest goal scorer in La Liga.

Guardiola stated: “It would make me very happy to see Messi end his career at Barça. We must congratulate him.

“What he has achieved is amazing. It will take 600 years for someone to achieve what he has achieved.”
