Liverpool line up Dortmund’s Klopp to replace Rodgers

Liverpool are lining up a sensational move for Jurgen Klopp as Brendan Rodgers’ time at the club looks increasingly likely to end.

The Reds made the trip to London to face Palace and took the lead after Rickie Lambert scored following a good move with Adam Lallana, but strikes from Dwight Gayle, Joe Ledley and Mile Jedinak sealed all three points for the home side.

The result now leave Liverpool in 12th place and having returned to Merseyside with a fourth consecutive defeat and has left Brendan Rodgers fighting for his job.

That has led to numerous reports that Jurgen Klopp is being lined up as his replacement.

The German coach has also struggled this season with Dortmund, who sit deep in the bottom half of the Bundesliga table, but much of that has been down to the loss of players such as Mario Gotze and Robert Lewandowski, who both joined Bayern Munich.

Klopp would seemingly be interested in moving to the Premier League, whilst some reports have also claimed that Anfield bosses could also tempt Marco Reus to follow the coach in Janaury.
