Sturridge out AGAIN for Liverpool

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge is likely to miss Sunday’s Premier League clash against Crystal Palace.

The England international returned to full fitness earlier this week and gave Liverpool fans optimism after a dreadful start to the season.

However, the former Chelsea man pulled up during a session at Melwood on Tuesday and is now nursing a thigh problem that he had recovered from.

The 25-year-old will now be accessed by Liverpool’s medical staff and boss Brendan Rodgers will be told if he can use the striker against Palace at the weekend.

Sturridge has not played for the Reds since the 3-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur on August 31, leaving a massive problem up front for Rodgers, having seen Mario Balotelli score just two goals in cup action.

Since arriving at Anfield in a £12 million deal from Chelsea in January 2013, Sturridge has suffered 13 different injuries.
