A Dil-Lamela for Erik as Mancini looks to swoop

New Inter Milan boss Roberto Mancini is set to raid the Premier League – with Fabio Borini and Erik Lamela on his shopping list.

Former Manchester City chief Mancini, who has just embarked on his second tenure at the San Siro, is keen to bring Borini in to aide Inter’s goal-scoring woes.

Italian Borini, who began his career at Bologna before moving on to Chelsea, is said to be keen to link up with his compatriot in his homeland.

The Liverpool striker has had limited opportunities on Merseyside this season, and has only scored 2 goals in 27 appearances for the Anfield club.

Boss Brendan Rodgers would be keen to offload Borini as it frees up space to add to his struggling squad in January.

Mancini has also set his sights on Tottenham play-maker Erik Lamela. The Argentine, who has played in Serie A for Roma, looks set to leave White Hart Lane following Spurs’ in-different start to the season.

Inter may have competition though, with leaders Juventus and Milan rivals AC also keeping tabs on the £30 Million man.

Reports in Italy suggest that all three clubs would only be interested in a short-term loan deal, whilst Spurs owner Daniel Levy would prefer to cash-in on the 22-year old.
