Pearson looks to save himself from the Sako

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson insists there is ‘no need for wholesale changes’ at the club despite his side’s poor form.

The Foxes have not scored in over 400 minutes of football and have only taken one point from a possible 18 since their memorable 5-3 victory over Manchester United.

Reports have been circulating that Pearson could be set to swoop for Arsenal winger Joel Campbell, although the Costa Rica international has vowed to stay and fight for his place at the Emirates.

City boss Pearson is also interested in re-igniting his interest in Wolves midfielder Bakary Sako.

The Mali international has been in fine form for the Championship club, although it is thought that boss Kenny Jackett would be very reluctant to see the 26-year old leave Molineux.

It is clear that Pearson sees a need for change at the King Power Stadium following their recent dry spell.

Record signing Leonardo Ulloa has scored five in the league thus far but has not found the net since his brace versus United in September.

Jamie Vardy, David Nugent and New Zealand captain Chris Wood have only scored three league goals between them and Pearson knows that goals need to be available in-order to stay up.

Leicester currently find themselves in the Premier League relegation zone following four consecutive defeats, but can break out of the drop zone with victory over Sunderland at the weekend.
