Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has blocked a move for Adriano to Italian side Roma.
Brazilian full-back Adriano played a large amount of Barcelona’s games last season, due to the troubling injuries of Spanish defender Jordi Alba.
But, questions about his future at Camp Nou were heard following the end of the season, prompting links to the likes of English duo Liverpool and Arsenal, plus Italian side Roma.
And, it was with the latter which Adriano had been subject to a bid of £8m, which was accepted by the Catalan club but then withdrawn by new boss Luis Enrique.
Enrique wants the former Sevilla man to provide competition with Alba next season and remain at the club.
Roma have now turned their attentions to Valencia’s Juan Bernat, whilst Adriano is seemingly happy to remain at Camp Nou.
