Wilmots: Chelsea star annoyed me with failed rabona

Belgium coach Marc Wilmots has said he was frustrated with Chelsea’s Eden Hazard following his failed rabona in their 0-0 draw with Wales.

Sunday evening saw Belgium face Wales in a Euro 2016 qualifier in a game which saw Hazard named man of the match, but his decision to attempt a rabona cross late on in the second half has left his coach frustrated.

“That rabona annoyed me,” Wilmots told HLN. “We have to try and be more efficient.

“Of course, if he had found Benteke’s head with it, everybody would have have been happy – and that he does things like this is also one of his strengths.

“But every second counts in games like this with the national team. You have to be efficient.”

Hazard’s Belgium sit fourth in Group B with five points, four points behind group leaders Cyprus.
