Man United midfielder set to have groin scans

England and Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick will reportedly undergo a scan on a groin injury.

The 33-year-old is believes to have suffered the injury during England’s morning session on Wednesday and could add to Man United’s recent injury problems should scans reveal more problems.

Although no confirmation has been made, Carrick is expected to be a doubt for England’s Euro 2016 qualifier with Slovenia at Wembley on Sunday.

Carrick only returned to action for his club earlier this month and the news is not expected to be met with pleasure by United boss Louis van Gaal.

Good news for United fans is that Radamel Falcao and Rafael have both returned to full training.
