Gareth Bale is not interested in leaving Real Madrid for Manchester United, according to his representative David Manasseh.

The 25-year-old impressed in his first season at the Santiago Bernabeu, scoring 22 goals in 44 appearances in all competitions to help the Spanish giants win the Champions League.

However, Bale has been struggling for form of late and has been heavily criticised by media, fans and the club’s hierarchy, leading to numerous reports that he could be sold to fund a big money move for Chelsea’s Eden Hazard.

Whilst Hazard remains high on Madrid’s most wanted list, a rumoured swap deal which could see Bale go to Man United and Angel di Maria return to the Santiago Bernabeu has also been reported.

However, his agent has since denied that the Welshman is unhappy and wants to return to England.

“It is not true that Gareth wants to return to the Premier League,” Manasseh told Calciomercato. “Everything is going well for him at Madrid and he wants to continue to wear the Real Madrid jersey.

“These rumours about a swap with United are absolute rubbish.”
